The Old Me: I was once considerably overweight. My life mostly revolved around sitting in front of a computer playing an online video game. I was a sedentary person with a sedentary life. The New Me: I lost a large amount of weight, and now live a much more active life. I work out four nights a week and have a hard time staying at home any other time of the week. I have a group of friends with whom I often go out with, everything from movies, karaoke or just “hitting the town”. Things I Dig: I love a good conversation; I can sit for hours with the right person, sharing ideas, discussing viewpoints, and just delving into each other’s minds. I like getting out and doing some camping several times a year, and occasional day trips for adventure, though one not should mistake more for an “outdoorsman.” I love to laugh and joke around, and be with people with a great sense of humor. Getting out with friends is a huge part of my life now, and I really enjoy having an active life: Karaoke, pool, dance places (though I am a complete dance noob), movies, even just a bar to talk and people watch (though I don’t drink much these days). That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the occasional night at home with a movie and the right person to snuggle up with, because that can be fun too. I have a nerdy side, and love computers, gadgets, sci-fi, gaming and so on. Don’t worry, I don’t live in my parent’s basement and have never once dressed up as a Star Trek, Star Wars or anime character. But if you have, cool! What I Don’t Dig Quite So Much: I am not into sports of any kind. I doubt I am a good match for someone with any appreciable level of monotheistic religious faith, or someone even approaching hardcore conservatism. I am baffled that people actually like the vast majority of country music. What I am Looking For: I am looking for a friend and a partner in life. I am looking for someone intelligent, clever, active and with a good sense of humor. I am looking with someone with enough class to come with me to the company holiday party, and enough…er…classlessness to hang out with my friends and I in a karaoke dive bar, and everything in between! I’d love to have someone with whom I could explore the town and valley: museums, movies, plays, sites, or just day trips to anyplace interesting.
