Relationships, to me, are about sharing. There is nothing better than seeing a great play, movie, or sunset and having the person you care sitting next to you sharing the experience. I’m looking for someone who also shares similar interests with me, but could also bring other activities and ideas into a relationship. I am always interested in learning and trying new things. I’m looking for someone with a great sense of humor, who treats life's obstacles as adventures, and who loves good conversation. There are so many activities I like to do that it’s hard to name them all: outdoors I like going to Como Park, neighborhood carnivals (best places to win bottles of wine), walking after a rainfall, hiking, biking, and picnics. My favorite place is the Conservatory in St. Paul. I especially like taking road trips to Duluth, Red Wing, Rochester, or some out of the way small town. I can spend hours on the beaches of the North Shore searching for sea glass. Afterwards, I'll spend another hour trying to find my car keys. Indoors I like all kinds of museums, movies, interesting shops, book stores, antiquing, and visiting new restaurants. There are 10,000 restaurants in Minnesota so I always say it makes no sense to go to the same one twice (unless it is truly exceptional). I am a game player, but not the bad kind. I have a good collection of mostly vintage board games which are fun to bring out for game nights or just for two. I do like to read and one room of my house is set aside as a library – everything from Shakespeare to Mad Magazine. I have no use for ebooks. To me, they’re a poor substitute – I broke my last one trying to dog-ear the page. As a homeowner, I like DIY projects and gardening. I found out I can fix most any plumbing or electrical problem, but I can’t get kohlrabi or spinach to grow at all. I also love cooking, but not so much cleaning up the mess afterward. And yes, there is a cookbook section in my library.
